PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop an engine easily and smoothly when switching from an HV mode to an EV mode.SOLUTION: In the case of switching from the state of traveling with a first engagement element engaged, setting a switching mechanism in a normal rotation state, and with an engine driven, to the state of traveling with the engine stopped, or in the case of switching from the state of traveling with a second engagement element engaged, setting a switching mechanism in a reverse rotation state, and with the engine driven, to the state of traveling with the engine stopped, the first engagement element or second engagement element that has been engaged is disengaged, and the second engagement element or first engagement element that has been disengaged is put to a half engagement state where torque is transmitted in a slip state, and a revolution speed of the engine is reduced by at least either of torque of the half engaged first or second engagement element and torque of a motor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】HVモードからEVモードに切り替える際のエンジンの停止を容易に、またスムースに行う。【解決手段】第1係合要素を係合させて切替機構を順転状態に設定しかつエンジンを駆動して走行している状態からエンジンを停止して走行する状態に切り替える場合、もしくは第2係合要素を係合させて切替機構を反転状態に設定しかつエンジンを駆動して走行している状態からエンジンを停止して走行する状態に切り替える場合に、係合していた第1係合要素もしくは第2係合要素を解放するとともに解放していた第2係合要素もしくは第1係合要素をスリップ状態でトルクを伝達する半係合状態に設定し、かつ半係合状態の第2係合要素もしくは第1係合要素のトルクとモータのトルクとの少なくともいずれか一方によってエンジンの回転数を低下させる。【選択図】図4
