The present disclosure provides a hybrid electric vehicle configured to more effectively distribute a driving force of each driving source and a control method of the hybrid electric vehicle. A control method of a hybrid electric vehicle may include: determining an engine operating point in a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) mode; and determining a first torque of a first motor, which may be directly connected to the engine, and a second torque of a second motor, which may be directly connected to the input of the transmission, based on the engine torque according to the engine operating point, the desired torque, and the speed of the input of the transmission, and the first motor and the second motor may be connected in a specific driving mode using the driving force of the engine.
