PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the temperature of an engine from excessively increasing if a failure occurs to a grille shutter and the grille shutter is fixed to a closed state in a hybrid electric vehicle including the grille shutter.SOLUTION: A vehicle comprises: an engine; a battery; a second motor-generator; a grille shutter; and an ECU. The second motor-generator generates a driving force using electric power stored in the battery. The grille shutter can be opened or closed, and introduces air outside of the vehicle into the vehicle by being closed during running of the vehicle. The ECU controls the engine, the second motor-generator, and the grille shutter. The ECU suppresses the start of the engine if a close failure that the grille shutter is fixed to a closed state, as compared with a case in which the close failure is not detected.
【課題】グリルシャッタを備えるハイブリッド車両において、グリルシャッタが閉故障した場合のエンジンの過度の温度上昇を防止する。【解決手段】車両は、エンジンと、バッテリと、第2モータジェネレータと、グリルシャッタと、ECUとを備える。第2モータジェネレータは、バッテリの電力を用いて駆動力を発生させる。グリルシャッタは、開閉が可能に構成され、開状態とすることにより車両走行中に車両外部の空気を車両内に導入する。ECUは、エンジンと、第2モータジェネレータと、グリルシャッタとを制御する。ECUは、グリルシャッタが閉状態に固定される閉故障が検出された場合、閉故障が検出されていない場合に比べて、エンジンの始動を抑制する。【選択図】図5
