The invention is applicable to the field of parking lot management and provides a parking lot guide system and method based on the ultra-wideband wireless positioning technology. The parking lot guide system comprises an electronic license plate, at least three base stations and a parking space guide server, wherein the electronic license plate is attached to a vehicle and transmits ultra-wideband pulse signals; the at least three base stations are arranged inside a parking slot, synchronously connected with one another and used for receiving the ultra-wideband pulse signals and uploading the time when the ultra-wideband pulse signals are received; the parking space guide server is used for, according to a positioning algorithm and the times uploaded by every base station when the ultra-wideband pulse signals are received, generating the real-time coordinate of the electronic license plate and calling the attachment position and the model parameters of the vehicle to obtain the position coordinate of the vehicle, and according to the model parameters of the vehicle, the position coordinate of the vehicle and the parking space line coordinate of an unoccupied parking space, guiding the vehicle into the unoccupied parking space. According to the parking lot guide system and method based on the ultra-wideband wireless positioning technology, the base stations and the electronic license plates transfer signals through the ultra-wideband wireless communication technology, so that the electronic license plate moving at a high speed can be positioned at a high precision.
