To provide a signal system to remotely recognize the displaying type of a signal at a lower cost than the case of using a wireless communication device.SOLUTION: An acquisition unit 111 acquires a video shot at a given frame rate from an imaging unit 17. A recognition unit 112 extracts a flicker from the video acquired by the acquisition unit 111 and identifies a cycle thereof. The recognition unit 112 finds the blinking frequency of a light source causing this flicker in the video using the obtained flicker cycle and the known frame rate. If the obtained frequency is any frequency applied to the blinking of a signal light unit 21, the recognition unit 112 determines that a light source blinking at this frequency is a signal light unit 21 and recognizes the displaying type of the signal light unit 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】無線通信機器を用いる場合に比べて安い費用で、遠隔から信号機の現示種別を認識させる。【解決手段】取得部111は、撮影部17から所定のフレームレートで撮影された動画を取得する。認識部112は、取得部111が取得した動画からフリッカを抽出し、その周期を特定する。認識部112は、求めたこのフリッカの周期と、既知であるフレームレートと、を用いて、動画においてこのフリッカを生じさせている光源の点滅の周波数を求める。そして、認識部112は、求めた周波数が信号灯器21の点滅に適用されるいずれかの周波数である場合、この周波数で点滅する光源を信号灯器21である、と判定し、この信号灯器21の現示種別を認識する。【選択図】図5
