A signal recognition device includes: an image acquisition unit 101 configured to acquire an image captured by a camera provided in a moving body; a light emitting body detection unit 102 configured to detect a light emitting body from the acquired image; a self-position estimation unit 103 configured to estimate a position of the camera; a traffic light determination unit 108 configured to identify a light of a traffic light from the detected light emitting body based on the estimated position of the camera; and a signal aspect recognition unit 109 configured to read an aspect of the traffic light based on the identified light. Accordingly, it is possible to read the aspect of the traffic light not only in a bright place but also in a dark place.
