To provide a control device which can suppress reduction in support accuracy of a rider by a rider support system in comparison to a conventional technique even when a peripheral environment detection device moves together with a handle of a lean vehicle.SOLUTION: A control device controls the attitude of a peripheral environment detection device for detecting a peripheral environment of a lean vehicle for supporting drive of a rider of the lean vehicle. The peripheral environment detection device detects the peripheral environment on the front side of at least the lean vehicle when being mounted on the lean vehicle and moves together with a handle of the lean vehicle. The control device is configured to operate a drive mechanism for changing the attitude of the peripheral environment detection device when the lean vehicle turns, and change the attitude of the peripheral environment detection device such that the detection central axis of the peripheral environment detection device faces upward in comparison to a case where the drive mechanism is not operated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
