To provide a reduction reverser preventing a failure leading to damage or seizure by having a normal/reversal mechanism be in a slip engagement state by attempting to immediately switch to a power cut-off state when an action detection member makes a detection error of being in a neutral position regardless of the normal/reversal switching valve being in a position other than a neutral position in normal navigation.SOLUTION: A reduction reverser 9 including a normal/reversal switching mechanism 17 for transmitting rotational power of a main engine 7 loaded on a hull to a propeller 5 by switching output of normal rotation, neutral, or reversal rotation, a normal/reversal switching valve for controlling switching action of the normal/reversal mechanism, and a trolling machine for adjusting hydraulic fluid pressure toward the normal/reversal mechanism is composed to include an action detection member for detecting an action state of the normal/reversal switching valve and to have the trolling machine not reduce the hydraulic fluid pressure going toward the normal/reversal mechanism when the action detection member detects that the normal/reversal switching valve is in the neutral position during normal navigation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】通常航行時に正逆転切換弁が中立以外の位置であるにも拘らず、作動検出部材が中立位置にあると誤検出した場合、正逆転機構がただちに動力遮断状態に切り換わろうとして、正逆転機構がスリップ係合状態になり、損傷や焼き付き至る不具合を防止する減速逆転機を提供する。【解決手段】船体に搭載した主機関7の回転動力を、正転、中立又は逆転の出力に切り換えてプロペラ5に伝達する正逆転機構17と、前記正逆転機構の切換作動を制御する正逆転切換弁と、前記正逆転機構に向かう作動油圧を調節するトローリング装置を備える減速逆転機9において、前記正逆転切換弁の作動状態を検出する作動検出部材を備え、通常航行時に前記正逆転切換弁が中立位置にあると前記作動検出部材が検出した場合、前記トローリング装置が前記正逆転機構に向かう作動油圧を減圧しないように構成される。【選択図】図2
