PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marine reduction reverser capable of securely preventing occurrence of a failure such as seizure when a propeller is locked due to entrainment of a rope or the like.SOLUTION: A marine reduction reverser 1 comprises: a forward transmission part including a forward input shaft 12, a forward pinion 15, and a forward clutch 14; a backward transmission part including a backward input shaft, a backward pinion, and a backward clutch; an output transmission part including an output gear 22 always engaging with the forward pinion 15 and the backward pinion; and an output shaft 23 pivotally supporting the output gear 22 and connected to a propeller 20. The marine reduction reverser further comprises overload detection means 50 for detecting an overload state between the forward input shaft 12 and the output shaft 23. The overload detection means 50 turns the forward clutch 14 to an "OFF" state, when the overload detection means 50 detects an overload state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7

    【課題】ロープの巻き込み等によってプロペラがロックした場合において、簡易な構成でありながら、焼き付き等の不具合が生じることを確実に防止することができる舶用減速逆転装置を提供する。【解決手段】舶用減速逆転装置1は、前進入力軸12と、前進ピニオン15と、前進クラッチ14と、を有する前進伝達部と、後進入力軸と、後進ピニオンと、後進クラッチと、を有する後進伝達部と、前進ピニオン15及び後進ピニオンに常時噛合する出力ギア22と、出力ギア22を軸支するとともにプロペラ20に連結される出力軸23と、を有する出力伝達部と、を備えるものであって、前進入力軸12から出力軸23の間の過負荷状態を検出する過負荷検出手段50を備え、過負荷検出手段50が過負荷状態を検出したときに、過負荷検出手段50によって、前進クラッチ14を「切」状態にする。【選択図】図7
