To provide a vehicular impact absorption apparatus that enables a collision load reception member to be protruded to a collision direction before a collision occurs, enables a mechanism for absorbing collision energy to have a simple configuration and has an inexpensive configuration.SOLUTION: A vehicular impact absorption apparatus includes: a container shape reception cup having an opening in a direction of a collision load and fixed to either one of a collision load reception member or a vehicle body structure member; a container shape sliding cup having an opening opposing to the opening of the reception cup, slidably inserted into the reception cup with the openings opposing to each other and fixed to the other of the collision load reception member or the vehicle body structure member to form a space; engagement means provided between the reception cup and the sliding cup and engaging the reception cup and the sliding cup with each other at a maximum movement position of the collision load reception member where an insertion amount of the sliding cup into the reception cup is minimized and a volume of the space is maximized; and fluid supply means for supplying fluid to the space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
