PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed-reduction reverser easily adaptable to multiple models and specifications.SOLUTION: A speed-reduction reverser 11 comprises: an input shaft 13 to which a rotary power of a main engine 10 is input; a forward clutch 14 capable of transmitting the rotary power of the input shaft 13 as an ahead output; a reverse clutch 15 capable of transmitting the rotary power of the input shaft 13 as an astern output; an output shaft 16 to which the rotatory powers are output through the respective clutches 14, 15; a speed reduction mechanism 17 reducing a speed of the rotary power of the output shaft 16 and transmitting the rotary power to a propeller 6; and a relay shaft 36 for relaying the rotary powers to be transmitted from the respective clutches 14, 15 to the output shaft 16. The relay shaft 36 is arranged to intersect the input shaft 13 so that the relay shaft 36 and the output shaft 16 are connected to allow the powers to be transmitted through a pair of intersecting shaft gears 37, 38.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
