PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision detection device and a collision detection method capable of improving accuracy for determining a collision of a railway vehicle.SOLUTION: An acceleration sensor part 111 of a collision detection device 110 detects an acceleration waveform W of a railway vehicle by sampling, and a waveform analysis part 112 generates a reference space based on a vector quantity defined by a frequency of making the acceleration waveform W cross analysis lines L1-L9 of indicating an optional acceleration value in an extraction width (w) and a vector quantity defined by the data number by the sampling existing on the positive side of acceleration (a) partitioned by the analysis lines L1-L9 in the extraction width (w). A Mahalanobis distance calculation part 113 calculates a Mahalanobis distance Din the reference space, and a collision determination part 118 determines that a railway vehicle collides when the Mahalanobis distance Dexceeds a preset threshold value. Accuracy for determining a collision of the railway vehicle can be improved by determining the collision based on the Mahalanobis distance in such a reference space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】鉄道車両の衝突を判定する精度を向上させることができる衝突検知装置及び衝突検知方法を提供する。【解決手段】衝突検知装置110の加速度センサ部111は、鉄道車両の加速度波形Wをサンプリングにより検出し、波形解析部112は、抽出幅wにおいて任意の加速度値を示す解析線L1〜L9を加速度波形Wが横切る回数で定義されるベクトル量と、抽出幅wにおいて解析線L1〜L9で区画される加速度aの正の側に存在するサンプリングによるデータ数で定義されるベクトル量とに基づいて基準空間を生成する。マハラノビス距離算出部113は、基準空間においてマハラノビス距離D2を算出し、衝突判定部118は、マハラノビス距離D2が予め設定された閾値を超えているときに、鉄道車両が衝突したと判定する。このような基準空間におけるマハラノビス距離に基づいて衝突を判定することにより、鉄道車両の衝突を判定する精度を向上させることができる。【選択図】図2
