To provide a collision detection device which has high robustness to a failure in an acceleration sensor for safing determination and excellent frontal collision detection performance, while suppressing increase in device cost.SOLUTION: A collision detection device (15) includes a first acceleration acquisition part (151), a second acceleration acquisition part (152), and a frontal collision determination part (153). The first acceleration acquisition part acquires longitudinal direction acceleration output from a left side sensor (13L) and a right side sensor (13R). The second acceleration acquisition part (152) acquires longitudinal direction acceleration output from a main sensor (14) that is an acceleration sensor different from the left side sensor and the right side sensor. The frontal collision determination part determines occurrence of frontal collision, on the basis of safing determination based on the longitudinal direction acceleration acquired by the first acceleration acquisition part, and main determination based on the longitudinal direction acceleration acquired by the second acceleration acquisition part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
