The invention relates to the technical field of robots, in particular to an underwater robot. The positioning assembly determines the position information of the underwater robot; the control assembly controls the underwater robot to run to an underwater target position according to the position information; after the underwater robot runs to an underwater target position, the control assembly controls the first one-way valve to be opened, controls the second one-way valve to be closed and controls the water pumping assembly to pump a sampling water body; after the underwater robot runs to an underwater target position, the water body detection assembly detects a water body around the sampling water body and transmits a detection result to the control assembly; the control assembly stores the detection result; the control assembly is further used for controlling the first one-way valve to be closed and the second one-way valve to be opened after the underwater robot completes water taking, and controlling the sampled water to flow out of the water pumping assembly. The underwater robot is ensured to accurately run to the underwater target position, and the accuracy and the convenience of collecting and sampling the water body at the underwater target position are improved.
