The invention provides a driving mode control method, electronic equipment and a storage medium. The method comprises the steps that in response to a driving request of a driver, historical driving information of a target vehicle driven by the driver is obtained, and the historical driving information is used for representing the technical maturity of the target vehicle driven by the driver; detecting whether the historical driving information meets a preset driving requirement or not; if it is detected that the historical driving information does not meet the preset driving requirement, the target vehicle is controlled to enter a primary driving mode, and when the target vehicle is in the primary driving mode, the maximum vehicle speed of the target vehicle is not higher than a preset vehicle speed. Whether the target vehicle enters the primary driving mode or not can be controlled based on the driving maturity degree of the driver to the target vehicle, so that the driving safety is improved.
