The magneto-rheological damping assembly introduces the damping in the compression process of a buffer spring to form the progressive buffer damping way, parameters of magnetorheological fluid can be adjusted according to the falling parameter of the elevator compartment, the damping force is gradually increased in the bottom touch buffer process of the elevator compartment, the increment process of the damping force is rapid and stable compared with an ordinary spring, the buffer damping is formed at a final stage, and the smoothness of downlink buffer and sufficient variable damping force can be realized, so that compared with the prior art, the buffer stroke and the progressive gradually-varied damping process can be increased; a spring with smaller elastic coefficient can be adopted, and the damping system is applicable to a high-speed elevator by combining the later variable damping and the preliminary elastic buffer and has an effect of dynamic application at any time.
