The invention discloses an elevator system for progressively buffering a damping force. The elevator system comprises an evaluator car body and a buffering assembly, wherein the buffering assembly comprises a buffering assembly which is fixedly arranged at the bottom of an elevator shaft and is used for preventing the evaluator car body from rigid bottoming, and a damping assembly which is used for forming damping on the evaluator car body in a process of elastically compressing the buffering assembly by the evaluator car body. The damping is introduced by the damping assembly in a process of buffering spring compression to form a progressive buffering damping manner; the damping force is gradually increased in an evaluator car body bottoming buffering process; compared with a common spring, the increasing process is rapid and gentle; the buffering damping is formed at the final phase, the smoothness of descending buffering is realized and enough damping force is provided, so that compared with the prior art, a buffering process and a progressive type gradually-changed damping process can be increased; a spring with a small elastic coefficient can be adopted, and post-period damping introduction is combined with pre-period elastic buffering.
