The project is located one-half mile south of the Town of Ash Fork, Arizona. It begins at approximate Milepost 144+ on present U.S. Interstate and Defense Highway 40 and 66 one mile west of Ash Fork and extends easterly 3.41 miles. Construction consists of two divided 38-foot roadways with a median separation beginning at Engineer's Station 7856+ at the West Ash Fork Traffic Interchange and ending at Engineer's Station 8036+ at the Yavapai and Coconino County line. A bridge structure will be constructed at Station 7940+. Environmental impacts are discussed.
