Three projects designated as Mohave County Line-East, Juniper Mountain Section, and Juniper Mountain-Chino Sections, of Interstate Highway 40 proceed into Yavapai County for a distance of about 17 miles. The purpose of the project is the completion of another link of the interstate highway system. Probable adverse environmental effects which cannot be avoided include reduction of grazing land for support of cattle and wildlife and possible adverse effects upon game animals and upon other wildlife due to encroachment upon previously relatively undisturbed natural environment.
