The definition study of a Spacelab payload centered on GRIST (A Grazing Incidence Solar Telescope) is presented. The study objective was to show the feasibility of assembling a scientifically viable payload with a large facility instrument such as GRIST. A payload accommodation analysis was carried out, and feasibility was demonstrated. Areas of difficulty were identified and possible solutions elaborated.
