The proposed project consists of constructing a four-lane divided expressway, without control of access, on new location for a distance of 6.9 miles with future interchanges at each terminus and major thoroughfares. The proposed relocation south of West Columbia will provide S.H. 35 users with a fast, safe and efficient roadway of high design standard. Either Routes A, B or C would involve acquisition of residential property and routes A and C involve commercial property. Recommended Route A would require more acres of land for right of way than the alternate Routes B and C, but this would be offset by a shorter route for S.H. 35 users, the least social, economic and environmental impact upon the area.
