The project proposes to construct State Highway 360: from proposed State Highway 121 south of Grapevine to south of U.S. Highway 287 in Ellis County. The project is located for the most part in eastern Tarrant County, and to a slight extent in northwestern Ellis County; it is within the limits of the cities of Euless, Grapevine, Grand Prairie, Arlington and Mansfield, Texas. The proposed highway improvements will comprise a basic four-lane freeway having controlled access and continuous frontage roads for most of its entire length of 28 miles. Positive benefits include convenience of traffic movements for the regional inhabitants. Negative environmental effects will be a displacement of both people and wildlife, and a substantial conversion of grazing and farm lands to permamently paved roadways along with the usual pollution aspects of increased highway traffic.
