The properties of a flight control display device for producing curved approach profiles, and the flight control along these profiles, are discussed in the case of a microwave instrument landing system. The prolems of maneuverability, accuracy, and the stability of aircraft motions are treated, and the requirements of the guide beam system and flight control system are formulated. Flight tests have shown that the methods discussed contribute to reduction of pilot workload.
