An integrated flight control system, FRG 70, which is especially adapted to curved flight path profiles, is presented. The feedback control parameters are coupled to elevators and thrust, which limitation facilitates the realization of this principle. The system is characterized by a precise matching to the aerodynamic flow conditions and high passenger comfort. The exact path guidance is supported by a path angle dependent thrust control, allowing for larger thrust rest. The properties of the integrated system were analyzed during over 500 automatic approaches and landings. They can be improved by direct lift controls and by using a monitor display.
