Milling is the most universal machining method, enabling the formation of elements of almost any shape. This makes it one of the most frequently used methods of producing elements. Unfortunately, vibrations are an inherent part of milling, which can have a negative impact on the production process and its final result. It is therefore necessary to strive to minimise vibrations. This study focuses on determining the influence of the type of toolholder on the intensity of generated vibrations. The three most commonly used toolholders were compared. The effect of changing cutting parameters was also analysed. The study showed that the differences in the use of different toolholders are relatively small and strongly dependent on the cutting parameters. The main approach to reduce vibrations was therefore to change the cutting conditions.
