The present invention relates to a preceding vehicle future behavior estimation method performed by a preceding vehicle future behavior estimation device provided on a host vehicle connected to a connection vehicle based on vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication technology. The method includes the following steps of: obtaining time-series traffic data including data accumulated from the connection vehicle; statistically analyzing the time series traffic data based on a specific model; predicting the speed of a preceding vehicle based on the analyzed result; and optimizing the speed of the host vehicle based on the predicted speed. Accordingly, the method is capable of estimating the future behavior of the preceding vehicle through the statistical analysis on the measurable past data accumulated using vehicle communication, thereby improving fuel efficiency/electricity efficiency through vehicle speed optimization.
본 발명은 V2V(Vehicle to Vehicle) 통신 기술에 기반하여 연결차량과 연결된 자차량(ego car)에 마련되는 전방차량 미래행동 추정장치에서 수행되는 전방차량 미래행동 추정방법에 관한 것으로, 상기 연결차량에서 축적된 데이터를 포함하는 시계열 교통 데이터를 획득하는 단계; 특정 모델에 기초하여 상기 시계열 교통 데이터를 통계적으로 분석하는 단계; 분석된 결과에 기초하여 전방차량(leader car)의 속도를 예측하는 단계; 및 예측된 속도에 기초하여 상기 자차량의 속도를 최적화하는 단계를 포함한다. 이에 의해 차량 통신을 활용하여 축적된 측정가능한 과거 데이터의 통계적 분석을 통해 전방차량의 미래행동을 추정하고, 이를 통해 차량 속도 최적화를 통한 연비/전비를 향상시킬 수 있다.
