The present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling a behavior of a vehicle and a method thereof, which are able to use an acceleration sensor and a yaw rate sensor, to detect a rotational behavior of the vehicle due to a collision which has occurred on a rear side surface of the vehicle, to control the braking, acceleration, and steering of the vehicle corresponding to the detected rotational behavior, and to control the rotational behavior of the vehicle in a stable manner even if a weak collision has occurred on the rear side surface of the vehicle. To this end, according to the present invention, the apparatus for controlling the rotational behavior of the vehicle comprises: a first collision sensor which is placed on a right side surface of the vehicle to detect a collision; a second collision sensor which is placed on a left side surface of the vehicle to detect a collision; a yaw rate sensor which measures a yaw rate of the vehicle; and a control unit which detects a rotational behavior of the vehicle due to a collision which has occurred on the rear side surface of the vehicle, controls the braking, acceleration, and steering of the vehicle corresponding to the detected rotational behavior, and stabilizes the rotational behavior of the vehicle.

    본 발명은 차량의 거동 제어 장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로, 가속도센서와 요레이트센서를 이용하여 차량의 후방 측면에 발생한 충돌로 인한 차량의 회전거동을 감지하고, 상기 감지된 회전거동에 상응하는 차량의 제동과 가속 및 조향을 제어함으로써, 차량의 후방 측면에 미약한 충돌이 발생한 경우에도 차량의 회전거동을 안정적으로 제어할 수 있는 차량의 거동 제어 장치 및 그 방법을 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위하여, 본 발명은 차량의 회전거동 제어 장치에 있어서, 차량의 우측면에 위치하여 충돌을 감지하는 제1 충돌센서; 차량의 좌측면에 위치하여 충돌을 감지하는 제2 충돌센서; 차량의 요레이트를 측정하는 요레이트센서; 및 차량의 후방 측면에 발생한 충돌로 인한 차량의 회전거동을 감지하고, 상기 감지된 회전거동에 상응하는 차량의 제동과 가속 및 조향을 제어하여 차량의 회전거동을 안정화시키는 제어부를 포함한다.
