The present invention relates to a system and method for controlling trains in a Train to Train (T2T)-based train-centric manner, which can control an interval between preceding and following trains via a direct path, connecting the preceding train and the following train, in a T2T-based train-centric manner. The system for controlling trains in a T2T-based train-centric manner comprises a control ATS, an onboard ATO, and an onboard ATP. According to the system and method for controlling trains in a T2T-based train-centric manner, a following train can receive a state report message of a preceding train via a direct path, connecting the preceding train and the following train, in a T2T-based manner and can control an interval between the trains and speeds of the trains, thereby reducing an overall operational headway. A wayside ATP, a wayside EI, and the like are not included in ground facilities, but are incorporated into the onboard ATP or the control ATS, thereby reducing installation costs through simplification of the ground facilities. Furthermore, the system and method for controlling trains in a T2T-based train-centric manner can flexibly respond to an operational change, such as an extension of a route, an increase in operating trains, or the like.

    본 발명은 열차 중심(Train-centric) 형태의 열차 대 열차(T2T; Train-to-Train) 기반으로 선후행 열차 간의 직통로(direct-path)를 통해 열차간격을 제어하는 열차제어시스템 및 방법에 관한 것으로; T2T(Train to Train) 기반으로 후행열차와 선행열차 간의 직통로(direct-path)를 통해 후행열차가 선행열차의 상태보고 메시지를 수신받아 열차의 간격 및 속도 제어를 수행할 수 있어 전체적으로 운전시격 단축이 가능하고 지상에 wayside ATP, EI 등의 지상설비를 구비하지 않고 차상 ATP(onboard ATP) 또는 관제용 ATS으로 흡수하도록 하여 지상설비를 단순화를 통한 설치비용의 절감할 수 있고, 노선의 확장 또는 투입열차의 증대 등의 운영의 변화에 유동적 대응이 가능하도록 한 열차 대 열차 기반의 열차제어 시스템과 그 제어방법을 제공한다.
