The present invention provides a method for maintaining a distance between vehicles after an automatic emergency braking, which can control a braking profile according to the braking time and the braking power to keep the braking distance uniform after an automatic emergency braking and control the braking distance between vehicles. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for maintaining a distance between vehicles after an automatic emergency braking in an automatic emergency braking system comprises the steps of: comparing the grade value and the maximum value of longitudinal deceleration of a vehicle to determine the braking status; and controlling the maintaining time of braking power according to the braking status or varying a braking profile to control the amount of braking power.

    본 발명은 자동긴급제동 후 제동거리를 일정하게 유지할 수 있도록 제동 시간과 제동력에 따른 제동 프로파일(Braking profile)을 조절하여 차량간에 제동거리를 일정하게 조절할 수 있는 자동긴급제동 후 차간 거리 유지 방법을 제공한다. 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 자동긴급제동시스템에서 자동긴급제동 후 차간 거리 유지 방법은 차량의 종방향의 감가속도의 기울기값 및 최대값을 비교하여 제동상태를 판단하는 단계 및 상기 제동상태에 따라 제동력의 유지시간을 제어하거나, 제동력 크기를 제어하도록 제동 프로파일을 가변하는 단계를 포함한다.
