The present invention relates to a propeller shaft having a locking device, which improves collision performance by minimizing a crush load in case of a collision. The propeller shaft has a locking device which selectively couple an outer hub and an inner hub thereof to each other and has a new structure to induce the sliding (separation) between the inner hub having a spline part and the outer hub as the locking device is released by the load of a collision, thereby improving collision performance, such as the minimization of a crush load in case of a collision.

    본 발명은 충돌 시 붕괴하중을 축소하여 충돌 성능을 개선할 수 있는 록킹 디바이스를 적용한 프로펠러 샤프트에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 프로펠러 샤프트의 아웃터 허브와 인너 허브를 선택적으로 결속시켜주는 록킹 디바이스를 구비하고, 충돌 시의 하중에 의해 록킹 디바이스가 해제되면서 스플라인부를 포함하는 인너 허브와 아웃터 허브 간의 슬라이딩(이탈)을 유도하는 새로운 구조의 프로펠라 샤프트를 구현함으로써, 충돌 시 붕괴 하중을 최소화할 수 있는 등 충돌 성능을 개선할 수 있는 록킹 디바이스를 적용한 프로펠러 샤프트를 제공한다.
