PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propeller shaft device which achieves improvement of controlling of a removal load of a seal plate during a vehicle front collision without impairing sealability of lubrication grease.SOLUTION: A constant-velocity joint 40 which connects a driving side shaft 52 to a driven side pipe shaft part 31 is provided at a longitudinal intermediate position of a propeller shaft. The constant-velocity joint 40 includes: an inner race 42; balls 43 held by a case 44; and an outer race 41. A seal plate 45 for sealing lubrication grease GR is provided at an inner periphery part of the outer race 41. The seal plate 45 is formed with: a ring part 45b which is frictionally fitted in the inner periphery part of the outer race 41; and claw parts 45c radially extending from a rear end of the ring part 45b to the radial outer side. An outer end of each claw part 45c is located at the radial outer side relative to inner diameters of annular inner periphery protruding parts 41b, 31b located behind the claw part 45c and formed by friction joint between the outer race 41 and the driven side pipe shaft part 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】潤滑グリースのシール性を損なうことなく、車両前突時のシールプレートの離脱荷重のコントロール性向上を図るプロペラシャフト装置を提供する。【解決手段】プロペラシャフトの前後方向中間位置に、駆動側シャフト52と従動側管軸部31とを連結する等速ジョイント40が設けられ、等速ジョイント40は、インナレース42と、ケージ44に保持されたボール43と、アウタレース41とを備え、アウタレース41内周部には、潤滑グリースGR封止用のシールプレート45が設けられ、シールプレート45には、アウタレース41内周部に摩擦嵌合されるリング部45bと、リング部45bの後端から径方向外方に放射状に延びる複数の爪部45cとが形成され、爪部45cの外端は、爪部45cの後方部に位置するアウタレース41と従動側管軸部31との摩擦接合による円環状の内周突出部41b,31bの内径よりも径方向外側に位置することを特徴とする。【選択図】図5
