The present invention relates to a regenerative braking control device of a hybrid vehicle and a method thereof, capable of making the hydraulic braking follow the regenerative braking by assorting regenerative braking approach gradient into three modes and setting different approach gradients, and determining the execution of the regenerative braking in consideration of a present car speed and total braking amounts if the regenerative braking is subject to restriction. The regenerative braking control method of a hybrid vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a step of determining target regenerative braking amounts by being asked for the regenerative braking; a step of assorting two or more regenerative braking modes according to regenerative braking torque by the target regenerative braking amounts and applying a different regenerative braking approach gradient to the assorted regenerative braking mode; and a step of controlling the regenerative braking by applying the regenerative braking approach gradient.

    본 발명은 회생 제동 진입 기울기를 3개의 모드로 구분하여 각기 다른 진입 기울기를 설정함으로써 유압 제동이 회생 제동을 추종할 수 있으면서도, 회생 제동이 제한을 받다가 진입하는 경우에는 현재 차속과 총제동량을 고려하여 회생 제동의 수행 여부를 결정하는 하이브리드 차량의 회생 제동 제어 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 하이브리드 차량의 회생 제동 제어 방법은 회생 제동을 요구 받아 목표 회생 제동량을 결정하는 단계; 상기 목표 회생 제동량에 따른 회생 제동 토크에 따라 적어도 2개 이상의 회생 제동 모드를 구분하고, 상기 구분된 회생 제동 모드에 서로 다른 회생 제동 진입 기울기를 적용하는 단계; 그리고 상기 회생 제동 진입 기울기를 적용하여 회생 제동량을 제어하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
