To provide an escalator footstep in which a screen protrudes from the footstep and that it has an unconventional configuration without having a new power source.SOLUTION: A tip of a screen 44 attached to an L-shaped bar 40 of a rotating member provided rotatably around the axial center of a driving shaft 28 is located below the upper edge of a slit 26A installed on at least footstep 26 in a horizontal section where a first guide rail 36 and a second guide rail 38 are laid horizontally. A swinging roller 42 guided by the second guide rail 38 provided on the L-shaped bar 40 swings in the direction of the footstep 26 and around the axial center of the driving shaft 28, and the screen 44 protrudes upward from the slit 26A as the first guide rail 36 and the second guide rail 38 move from the horizontal section to the slope section laid diagonally.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】新たな動力源を有すことなく、従来とは異なる構成で、踏板から衝立が突出するエスカレータ用踏段を提供する。【解決手段】第1ガイドレール36と第2ガイドレール38が水平に敷設された水平区間では、駆動軸28の軸心周りに回転自在に設けられた旋回部材であるL字バー40に取り付けられた衝立44の先端が、少なくとも踏板26に開設されたスリット26Aの上縁よりも下方に位置し、前記水平区間から第1ガイドレール36と第2ガイドレール38が斜めに敷設された傾斜区間に移行すると、L字バー40に設けられ第2ガイドレール38に案内される揺動ローラ42が駆動軸28の軸心周りに踏板26の向きに揺動し、衝立44がスリット26Aから上方へ突出する構成とした。【選択図】図3
