To provide a structure of an escalator footstep which can be easily formed from an existing footstep and which is capable of increasing the effect of warning at ends in the horizontal direction of the footstep.SOLUTION: At least a partial footstep 30 includes: a step board 33 on which a user steps and which has a plurality of step board cleat grooves 34 arrayed in a horizontal direction and formed along an advancing direction; a riser that is a standing-up part connected to one end of the step board in the advancing direction; a warning display part 41 that is disposed in the step board cleat grooves; and a battery that is attached to the step board. The warning display part has a long thin-plate substrate 43 that is fitted into the step board cleat grooves at the ends in the horizontal direction, and a plurality of lights 42 which are attached to the upper part of the substrate and to which power is supplied from the battery, and gives a warning to the user by lighting or flashing the lights 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】エスカレーターの踏段において、既存の踏段から簡易に実現でき、かつ、踏段の左右方向の端部での注意喚起の効果を高くできる構造を実現することである。【解決手段】少なくとも一部の踏段30は、利用者が乗る踏板33であって、左右方向に並んでそれぞれ進行方向に沿って形成された複数の踏板クリート溝34を有する踏板と、踏板の進行方向一端に連結された立ち上がり部であるライザーと、踏板クリート溝に配置された警告表示部41と、踏段に取り付けられた電池とを含む。警告表示部は、左右方向端部の踏板クリート溝に嵌め込まれた長尺薄板状の基板43と、基板の上部に取り付けられ、電池により電力が供給される複数のライト部42とを有し、複数のライト部42の点灯または点滅によって利用者に注意を喚起する。【選択図】図3
