To provide a lighting state discrimination apparatus capable of accurately discriminating a lighting state of each of multiple lamps equipped on a vehicle, while suppressing computational complexity.SOLUTION: A lighting state discrimination apparatus includes a state discrimination unit 33 which discriminate a lighting state of each of a first lighting unit and a second lighting unit of a vehicle by inputting a series of time-series images showing the vehicle to a discriminator 400. The discriminator 400 includes: a feature calculation unit 401 which calculates a feature map every time one of the series of images is input in chronological order; a first lighting-state discrimination unit 402-1 which discriminates a lighting state of the first lighting unit while updating a first internal state having a recursive structure and recursively used by inputting the feature maps in chronological order; and a second lighting-state discrimination unit 402-2 which discriminates a lighting state of the second lighting unit while updating a second internal state having a recursive structure and recursively used by inputting the feature maps in chronological order.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
