PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine whether a side lamp attached to a side surface of a mobile body is in a lighted state or in a lights-out state.SOLUTION: An image processing device 1 processes a frame image that is obtained by imaging a side surface of a mobile body and is input to an image input unit 3; and determines whether a side lamp attached to the side surface of the mobile body is in a lighted state or in a lights-out state. An image processing unit 4 acquires a frame image in which a door closing display lamp is in a lights-out state, as a reference frame image. The image processing unit 4 creates a luminance difference image between a processing target frame image and the reference frame image; extracts a region in which predetermined luminance differences are generated, as a candidate region; and determines whether or not a door closing display lamp in a lighted state is imaged in the extracted candidate region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】移動体の側面に取り付けられた側灯が点灯状態であるか、消灯状態であるかを精度よく判定する。【解決手段】画像処理装置1は、画像入力部3に入力された移動体の側面を撮像したフレーム画像を処理し、移動体の側面に取り付けられた側灯が点灯状態であるか、消灯状態であるかを判定する。画像処理部4は、扉閉表示灯が消灯状態であるフレーム画像を基準フレーム画像として取得する。画像処理部4は、処理対象フレーム画像と、基準フレーム画像との輝度差分画像を生成し、予め定めた輝度差が生じている領域を候補領域として抽出するとともに、ここで抽出した候補領域に点灯状態である扉閉表示灯が撮像されているかどうかを判定する。【選択図】図1
