A determination unit determines whether to perform vehicle velocity guidance for traveling the own vehicle in the recommended velocity range based on the positional relation between the own vehicle and the at least one following vehicle. A driving assistance control unit then executes the vehicle velocity guidance for traveling the own vehicle in the recommended velocity range through a manual driving operation or automatic driving control in a case where a determination result that the vehicle velocity guidance is performed is obtained as a determination result of the determination unit, and does not execute the vehicle velocity guidance of the own vehicle in a case where a determination result that the vehicle velocity guidance is not performed is obtained. 【課題】後続車も考慮したうえで、自車両の車速誘導を行う。【解決手段】速度域算出部が、信号機が設けられた道路を、信号機で示される交通法規に従って自車両が通過可能な推奨速度域を算出する。位置関係検出部は、自車両と少なくとも1つの後続車との位置関係を検出する。判定部は、自車両及び少なくとも1つの後続車の位置関係に基づいて、自車両を推奨速度域で走行させる車速誘導を行うか否かを判定する。そして、運転支援制御部が、判定部の判定結果として、車速誘導を行う判定結果が得られた場合に、マニュアル運転操作又は自動運転制御により、自車両を推奨速度域で走行させる車速誘導を実行し、車速誘導を行わない判定結果が得られた場合は、自車両の車速誘導を非実行とする。これにより、車の円滑な流れを阻害することなく、自車両の車速誘導を行うことができる。【選択図】図5
