To provide a control section length measuring method which can accurately measure a control section length without an affect of response times generated by timers or relays for an avoidance of an agitation by electronic train detectors.SOLUTION: In a measurement of a control section length of an electronic train detector with a use of a control section length measurement device installed in a vehicle with both a first reception part to receive a first signal current transmitted from the electronic train detector to rails and a second reception part to receive a second signal current transmitted from an inspection/measurement adaptor to rails, a value of the first signal current at a prescribed period earlier than the time when the current value detected by the first reception part is regarded as to reach a prescribed detection level is determined, the current value at the movement and the vehicle position at that time are stored, in response to the detection that the current value detected by the second reception part is equal to or less than the current value at the movement, the vehicle position at the time is determined as the vehicle position at the descending of the electronic train detector, and the control section length is calculated based on the vehicle position at the determination of the current value at the movement and the vehicle position at the descending.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
【課題】踏切制御子の煽り防止のための時素やリレー等の応動時間の影響を受けることなく精度の高い制御区間長の測定を行うことができる制御区間長測定方法を提供する。【解決手段】踏切制御子からレールへ送出された第1信号電流および検測アダプタからレールへ送出された第2信号電流を受信する第1受信部と第2受信部を備え車両に搭載された制御区間長測定装置を用いて踏切制御子の制御区間長を測定するに際して、第1受信部が検知した電流値が所定の検知レベルに達したと判定した時点より所定時間前の第1信号電流の値を当該踏切制御子の動作時電流値として決定し、その動作時電流値とその時の車両位置を記憶し、第2受信部が検知した電流値が動作時電流値以下になったことを検知したことに応じてその時の車両位置を踏切制御子落下時の車両位置として決定し、動作時電流値の決定時の車両位置と落下時車両位置とに基づいて制御区間長を算出するようにした。【選択図】図6
