To provide a traveling unit capable of preventing overturn of a car body without interfering with normal traveling; and to provide an article display robot.SOLUTION: A traveling unit includes a vehicle body 10A having multiple wheels 11, and an overturn prevention member 24 suspended on a position projecting outward from the vehicle body 10A. The overturn prevention member 24 is provided at the height at which the vehicle body 10A does not touch the road surface during normal traveling but touches the road surface when the vehicle body 10A is tilted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 16
