To reduce a load of recognition processing in vehicular automatic operation control.SOLUTION: An automatic operation control method for controlling a vehicular automatic operation using a processor, includes: (A) setting a recognition target range in accordance with a vehicle position referring to range designation information DR for designating a recognition target range correlated with a position on a map; (B) narrowing down sensor detection information 220 detected by a sensor incorporated in the vehicle to limited sensor detection information 220L relative to the recognition target range; (C) executing recognition processing for recognizing a status of the recognition target range on the basis of the limited sensor detection information 220L; and (D) controlling an automatic operation on the basis of the result of the recognition processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
