To enable a single member to achieve a moving inhibition function for inhibiting a shift lever for an automobile from moving in a lever axis direction and a smooth shift operation function used when a shift change is performed.SOLUTION: A bearing for a shift lever includes: an annular inner periphery side wall part 110 in which a shift lever L is inscribed; an annular outer periphery side wall part 120 which is circumscribed in a housing H; and an annular rib part 130 which enables the inner periphery side wall part 110 and the outer periphery side wall part 120 to be concentrically spaced apart from each other and integrally connects the inner periphery side wall part 110 with the outer periphery side wall part 120. The inner periphery side wall part 110 has: an upper contact area 112 and a lower contact area 113, each of which contacts with a large ball part L2b of the shift lever L while having an interference, and a shift lever separation area 114, which separates from the large ball part L2b of the shift lever L, and is formed in an elastically deformable manner so as to contact with the outer periphery side wall part 120.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
