The objective of the present invention is to achieve both the function of suppressing movement of an automobile shift lever in the axial direction of the lever, and a smooth gear change operation function when performing a shift change, using a single member. This shift lever bearing comprises an annular inner circumferential side wall portion 110 which is in internal contact with a shift lever L, an annular outer circumferential side wall portion 120 which is in external contact with a housing H, and an annular rib portion 130 which causes the inner circumferential side wall portion 110 and the outer circumferential side wall portion 120 to be disposed concentrically and spaced apart from one another, and which integrally links the inner circumferential side wall portion 110 and the outer circumferential side wall portion 120, wherein the inner circumferential side wall portion 110: includes an upper contacting region 112 and a lower contacting region 113 which come into interference contact with a large sphere portion L2b of the shift lever L; includes a shift lever separated region 114 which is separated from the large sphere portion L2b of the shift lever L; and is formed with freedom to deform elastically in such a way as to come into contact with the outer circumferential side wall portion 120.
