To reduce the risk of a wheel braking slip from becoming excessive due to controlling upstream pressure in a case where downstream brake actuator is specifically abnormal disabling a reduction in braking pressure while being capable of supplying a braking force generation device with upstream pressure.SOLUTION: A control apparatus includes an upstream brake actuator for generating upstream pressure and a downstream brake actuator for respectively controlling brake pressure to be supplied to four-wheel brake force generation devices using the upstream pressure, and controls the two actuators. Further, in a case where the downstream brake actuator is abnormal, thus unable to reduce brake pressure of any of wheels, while it is possible to supply a brake force generation device with upstream pressure, the control apparatus performs: selecting higher target brake pressure from target brake pressure of left and right front wheels and selecting higher target brake pressure from target brake pressure of left and right rear wheels; determining lower target brake pressure selected from the two of target brake pressure as backup target brake pressure; and controlling so that the upstream pressure becomes the backup target brake pressure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】上流圧を制動力発生装置へ供給することができるが、制動圧を減圧することはできない特定の異常が下流制動アクチュエータに生じている場合に、上流圧の制御によって車輪の制動スリップが過大になる虞を低減する。【解決手段】上流圧を発生する上流制動アクチュエータと、上流圧を使用して四輪の制動力発生装置へ供給される制動圧を個別に制御する下流制動アクチュエータとを有し、二つのアクチュエータを制御する制御装置は、下流制動アクチュエータが異常で、制動力発生装置へ上流圧を供給することはできるが、何れかの車輪の制動圧を正常に減圧できないときには、左右前輪の目標制動圧のうちの高い方の目標制動圧及び左右後輪の目標制動圧のうちの高い方の目標制動圧を選択し、選択した二つの目標制動圧のうちの低い方の目標制動圧をバックアップの目標上流圧に決定し、上流圧をバックアップの目標上流圧になるように制御する。【選択図】図2
