To enable determination of abnormality in a front wheel system of the brake device of a large-scale vehicle.SOLUTION: A brake force control apparatus 10 includes: a brake device 12 that has a front wheel system 12F and a rear wheel system 12R that increase and decrease brake force of left- and right-front wheels and left- and right-rear wheels, respectively; and a control device 14 for controlling the brake device. Further, in the apparatus, when a preset condition is satisfied, the control device limits an increase in brake force Fbr of the rear wheel associated with an increase in brake force Fbv of the vehicle, thus limits brake force of the rear wheel by the front-rear wheel brake force distribution control. In a case where a product of front wheel and rear wheel brake slip ratios (SLf, SLr) is equal to or less than a reference value SLc while the brake force of the rear wheels is being limited, the control device 14 determines that the brake device 12 is abnormal and loosens the limit in the brake force of the rear wheel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】大型車両の制動装置の前輪系統の異常を判定可能とする。【解決手段】それぞれ左右前輪及び左右後輪の制動力を増減させる前輪系統12F及び後輪系統12Rを有する制動装置12と、制動装置を制御する制御装置14と、を含み、制御装置は予め設定された条件が成立すると、車両の制動力Fbvの増大に伴う後輪の制動力Fbrの増大を制限することにより前後輪制動力配分制御による後輪の制動力の制限を行う制動力制御装置10であり、制御装置14は、後輪の制動力の制限を行っている状況において、前輪及び後輪の制動スリップ率(SLf、SLr)の積が基準値SLc以下であるときには、制動装置12が異常であると判定し、後輪の制動力の制限を緩和する。【選択図】図1
