PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trolley wire that can suppress reduction in life due to extensional strain after wiring of a wear detection wire constituted of an optical fiber.SOLUTION: A trolley wire 1 includes: a trolley wire body 10 including a groove 14 for a wear detection wire therein and having a nominal sectional area of 150 mmor more and 170 mmor less; and a wear detection wire 20 disposed inside the groove 14 for a wear detection wire and constituted of an optical fiber, where a sectional area in a radial direction of the wear detection wire 20 is 30% or more and 40% or less of an effective sectional area of the groove 14 for a wear detection wire.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
