To provide a trolley wire reduced in weight while being suppressed from deteriorating in wear life and from deteriorating in visibility of a wear sensing groove.SOLUTION: A trolley wire 1 according to one aspect of the present invention comprises upper small arc faces 11, lower large arc faces 12, and ear grooves 13 between the small arc faces 11 and the large arc faces 12, which can use, in the ear grooves, ear metal fittings for the trolley wire whose cross sectional areas in a radial direction are 170 mm2, whose cross sectional areas in the radial direction are 153.2-155 mm2, where a plurality of wear sensing grooves 15a and 15b which act as indexes of wear limit positions 14 are formed on the large arc faces 12 at respective left and light side surfaces. On the cross section in the radial direction of the trolley wire, curvature of a first arc which is a contour of the small arc face 11 and curvature of a second arc which is a contour of the large arc face 12 are each constant, a position of a center O1 of the first arc is different from a position of a center O2 of the second arc, and the curvature of the first arc is smaller than the curvature of the second arc.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
