PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a driver of a vehicle to more accurately stop a vehicle with respect to a prescribed area.SOLUTION: A charging apparatus according to one embodiment comprises a charging section, a measurement section and a detection section. The charging section performs charging to a power storage function section provided to a vehicle stopped in a rectangular prescribed area. The measurement section is provide at a first position being a roof or a bottom of the vehicle and can measure a vertical distance to a point of a first in-plane having a gradient of a first angle with a horizontal surface as a reference toward an orthogonal direction orthogonal to a traveling direction of the vehicle. The detection section detects an angle of inclination of the vehicle with respect to a longitudinal direction based on a first difference between a first vertical distance to a first point of the first in-plane and a second vertical distance to a second point of the first in-plane of which a position in the traveling direction is different from that of the first point, a distance between the first point and the second point, and the first angle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
