PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine start control device which can improve start responsiveness and fuel economy by reducing a pumping loss.SOLUTION: In an engine start control device, an engine control unit determines the presence or absence of a start requirement of an engine ICE on the basis of a vehicle state, and starts the engine ICE when there is the start requirement. The engine contact unit comprises processing parts of steps S3, S6, and a processing part of a step S1 as a start prediction part which predicts the start requirement on the basis of driver-requested torque and a vehicle speed at a stop of the engine ICE. The engine control unit also comprises a prediction start mode for starting a rise of a rotation number of the engine ICE by a second motor generator MG2 before a start of the engine ICE when the start requirement is predicted before the determination of the existing of the start requirement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】ポンピングロスを軽減して、始動応答性および燃費を向上可能なエンジン始動制御装置を提供すること。【解決手段】車両状態に基づいてエンジンICEの始動要求の有無を判定し、始動要求が有るとエンジンICEを始動するエンジンコントロールユニットにおいてステップS3、S6の処理部を備え、エンジンICEの停止時に、ドライバ要求駆動トルクおよび車速に基づいて始動要求予測を行う始動予測部としてステップS1の処理部を設け、エンジンコントロールユニットは、始動要求有りとの判定前に始動要求が予測される場合、エンジンICEの始動前に第2モータジェネレータMG2によりエンジンICEの回転数上昇を開始する予測始動モードを備えることを特徴とするエンジン始動制御装置とした。【選択図】図5
