PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic driving device improving an operability when switching from an automatic driving to a manual driving, and reducing a switching to the manual driving by a wrong operation.SOLUTION: A manual driving switching threshold for switching an automatic driving to a manual driving relative to a steering operation quantity of a steering operation by a driver is calculated in a greater value by a calculation part, when in a case where a direction of the steering operation is estimated to become a direction approaching an obstacle than when in a case where a direction of the steering operation is estimated to become either a direction departing from the obstacle or a direction where no obstacle exists. Accordingly, if there is no obstacle, a switching from the automatic driving to the manual driving becomes easier, therefore operability when being switched from the automatic driving to the manual driving is improved. On the other hand, when the driver is not aware of the obstacle and a direction of the steering operation is in a direction approaching the obstacle, a switching from the automatic driving to the manual driving becomes more difficult.     【課題】自動運転から手動運転に切り替わる際の操作性を向上させ、且つ誤操作による手動運転への切替を低減する自動運転装置を提供する。【解決手段】計算部により、運転者の操舵操作の操舵操作量に対して自動運転を手動運転に切り替えるための手動運転切替閾値が、操舵操作の方向が障害物から遠ざかる方向及び障害物が存在しない方向のいずれかになると予測される場合よりも、操舵操作の方向が障害物に近づく方向になると予測される場合に、より大きな値に計算される。このため、障害物が無い場合には、自動運転から手動運転に切り替わり易くなるため、自動運転から手動運転に切り替わる際の操作性が向上する。一方、運転者が障害物を認識しておらず、操舵操作の方向が障害物に近づく方向である場合には、自動運転から手動運転に切り替わり難くなるため、誤操作による手動運転への切替を低減することができる。【選択図】図2
