PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize force holding a steering wheel at an adjusted position, by stabilizing friction force applying on both side surfaces of a supporting plate portion configuring a supporting bracket, and an abutting portion between an outside surface of a displacement bracket and an inside surface of a friction plate.SOLUTION: Of a paid of supporting plate portions 27c and 27d configuring a supporting bracket, at peripheral parts of vertical long holes 20 and 20, an inside projecting portion 28a projecting to the inner side in a width direction than the inside surface of other parts, and an outside projecting portion 33 projecting to the outer side in the width direction than the outside surface of other parts. The inside surfaces of both supporting plate portions 27c and 27d make only the tip end surface of the inside projecting portion 28a abut on both outside surfaces of a displacement bracket 18. The outside surfaces of both supporting plate portions 27c and 27d make only the tip end surface of the outside projecting portion 33 abut on the inside surface of a friction plate 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】支持ブラケットを構成する支持板部の両側面と、変位ブラケットの外側面及び摩擦板の内側面との当接部に作用する摩擦力を安定化させて、ステアリングホイールを調節後の位置に保持する力の安定化を図れる構造を実現する。【解決手段】支持ブラケットを構成する1対の支持板部27c、27dのうち、上下方向長孔20、20の周囲部分に、他の部分の内側面よりも幅方向内側に突出した内側凸部28aと、他の部分の外側面よりも幅方向外側に突出した外側凸部33とを設ける。前記両支持板部27c、27dの内側面は、前記内側凸部28aの先端面のみを、変位ブラケット18の両外側面に当接させる。前記両支持板部27c、27dの外側面は、前記外側凸部33の先端面のみを、摩擦板24の内側面に当接させる。【選択図】図3
